Remember when Dollar Shave Club busted onto the scene with their OG video/commercial – Our Blades Are F***ing Great…? This was back in 2012 and at the time, I would agree… I became a customer and I did think their blades were effing great and I was a loyal customer for many years!
Fast forward about a decade or so, and apparently Dollar Shave Club thought they were so f***ing great that their bottom line mattered more to them than the satisfaction of their customers. Dollar Shave Club replaced their beloved Executive razors with a highly inferior blade that they called the Club Series.
I was a devoted and happy customer on the monthly subscription for the Executive blades, along with a few of the other products that they offered (like their shave butter). Then, they switched my subscription to the new Club Series blades one month with no notice whatsoever. I didn’t have a choice in the matter.
I tried the new Club Series blades and I was extremely dissatisfied. The quality was absolute garbage compared to the superior quality of the Executive blades that I had become accustomed to. I contacted customer support and I was able to get switched back to the Executive blades for my subscription. But that only lasted for about a year before they completely removed the Executive blades as an option for their customers.
I was able to purchase a stockpile of the Executive blades before they were completely out-of-stock and I subsequently canceled my subscription. I turned from a happy and loyal customer to an annoyed and disgruntled former customer.
Dollar Shave Club Executive Blade Alternative
I still have several cartridges left in my stockpile of Executive blades. But I knew at some point that I was going to have to find an alternative to purchase.
I found some blades on Amazon that are the EXACT same blades as the former DSC Executive blades! They fit my old handle and/or you can purchase one of their handles which is very similar to the original handle that came with my DSC Executive blades. The brand is DORCO and is available on Amazon for very reasonable prices.

So, if you’re feeling agitated and f***ed over by DSC like I was – please stop sending them money and switch to a superior product (like they previously offered) that can be easily purchased from Amazon without a monthly subscription!
